This Perfect Place: A Natural History of the Massachusetts North Shore was created by Ipswich naturalist Kristina Lindborg.
Even if we live here we may not realize that the Massachusetts North Shore is one of the most unique geographical formations on earth. Carved by the forward edge of the Laurentide glacier thousands of years ago, this small area contains three ecosystems, a variety of beautiful landscapes and a diverse population of wildlife. Kristina Lindborg’s fascinating 35-minute film captures the essence of this marvelous region, and introduces the viewer to the secret places where one can encounter beavers, coyotes, deer, Great Blue Herons, fox, and a host of other native creatures. The movie is shown in a special viewing room at the Salem Cinema
