In a bid to encourage the next generation of engineers in Hong Kong, the HKIE has launched an annual scholarship award scheme. The HKIE Engineering Scholarship is open to engineering students at higher education institutions accredited/recognised by the HKIE, with the Head of the Engineering Department able to nominate up to five candidates per institution.
The HKIE’s annual awards programme is designed to recognise the achievements of outstanding Hong Kong students, ranging from the best results in HKDSE to community service and leadership. The winners of the HKIE Engineering Scholarship are awarded a certificate and prize book. The HKIE also offers a range of supplementary competitions for different engineering disciplines to give more students the chance to win prizes and honours.
Winners of the HKIE’s various competitions will be presented with a personalised trophy and cash prize, in addition to receiving a HKIE Membership for one year. These contests will provide valuable exposure for young people who are passionate about engineering and want to make a difference in the world.
