  1. I would love it if, when you detail a story that includes Native Americans, you could get their historical perspective by contacting a tribal elder. Frankly, the term “savages” in the Hannah Dustin story was offensive to those with Native ancestry. It took 375 years to finally have aboriginal people recognized as part of the history of this town during the anniversary celebration – a small committee headed by Will Maker made it happen – and we need to preserve and respect the people whose land was taken so that this town could call itself Puritan. It’s really just part of Turtle Island, you know.
